The most common thermoresistances consist of platinum coils characterized by their internal resistance at 0 ºC. Thus, a Pt100 is a platinum thermoresistance with a resistance of 100 Ω at 0 ºC, and a Pt1000 will have a resistance of 1000 Ω. Thermocouples are commonly two wires of different materials that create an electromagnetic current that varies according to temperature, with J, K, S types being the most frequent.
